Health Action and Research provides a wide range of carefully and smartly designed training/workshops on health-related research activities. The training follows a standard curriculum. However, customized training courses are available as per the need and convenience of the busy professionals.

Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, we will not be able to conduct the workshops in person for the next few months.

We conduct introductory training as well as intensive courses on the following topics. Also, customized sessions other than those listed will be available as per individual or organizational needs.

Introductory Training

We organize 2-hour long introductory sessions with the aim to familiarize and orient participants to the course topics. Our introductory topics include the following:

Intensive Training

Our intensive courses range from 7 hours to up to 50 hours. All intensive sessions are entirely hands-on where participants are actively involved in individual exercises, group work alongside lectures.

Designing and conducting clinical research

Here, participants are divided into groups with similar research interests and are encouraged and guided to prepare their own research proposals. This 20-hour course includes an introduction to clinical research, literature review, sample size calculation, ethical consideration, basics of data analysis, referencing, and standard research paper writing.

Beginner’s guide to Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

Participants are facilitated on the skills of writing a standard systematic review and meta-analysis paper which includes formulating a research question, developing a search strategy, building a library, risk of bias and quality assessment, and conducting a meta-analysis.

Intensive course on Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

beginner’s course on systematic review and meta-analysis, during this 50-hour intensive course, participants are guided on conducting a systematic review on qualitative studies and mixed-method studies including detailed sessions on meta-analysis and writing a review paper.

Data Analysis

The participants are involved in hands-on practice sessions where they acquire skills to independently prepare and modify the data sets, assess reliability and normality and carry out key steps of univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analyses.

Manuscript Writing

This interactive training workshop focuses on the key elements of academic writing, finding the correct journals, structuring and formatting of manuscripts, plagiarism, referencing macro-editing and micro-editing, and other practical aspect of preparing a manuscript.

Onsite customized training for organizations

We provide customized onsite training only for organizations. Please contact us in our official email if your organization would like to conduct customized training for health professionals.
